About MiCrédito
MiCrédito is intended to not only service the growing urban market for micro-credit, but also to develop a successful rural micro-lending program. The business is staffed with a competent management team which includes a number of credit analysts using motorcycles to visit clients. More staff and branches will be added as it grows. Business so far has come mostly by word-of-mouth advertising based on the strong reputation of the well-known staff, quick turn-around on credit decisions, competitive interest rates in the micro and small loans segment and excellent client services being provided.

MiCrédito has recently begun a new marketing campaign. Their desire for a fresh and professional image has resulted in a new logo and other marketing materials, as well as ongoing branch renovations. Click here to download MiCrédito's brochure (pdf - 308 KB).

DID YOU KNOW?
In 1997, delegates from 137 countries gathered at the Microcredit Summit in Washington to launch an ambitious campaign goal — to provide microloans to 100 million of the world's poorest families by the end of 2005. A 2005 progress report noted that more than 66 million families had been helped as of the end of 2004, representing more than 330 million people. The summit campaign believes the 100-million goal will be reached by the end of 2006 or 2007. (Source: www.cbc.ca)
